Switch Africa Green in Burkina Faso for National stakeholders’ workshop

Switch Africa Green in Burkina Faso for National stakeholders’ workshop

Started in Ouagadougou on March 2, the SAG’s national stakeholders’ workshop focused today, March 4, on integrated strategic solid waste management. This session has been organized especially for two grantees, GRAAD an AJDV, their partners and MSMEs with which they are working.

Before her first presentation, Celia Marquez has tried to identify with participants the main challenges and issues to be addressed in the Burkina Faso context. At the end of this exercise, the main challenges raised can be classified in the following rubrics:

  • Policy,
  • Technical,
  • Resources and costs,
  • And institutional and organization.

Through the given presentation, Celia tried to address each challenge and give her point of view and her experience as an expert. In this the process, she was supported by Patrick and Rhoda from UNEP.

We note a very interesting day in terms of exchanges with several interesting advices and lessons learned from examples of other countries like Zimbabwe.

The project is funded by EU through Switch Africa Green
